    Confused about period/posible pregnancy
Hey My name is Jen, and I am utterly confused about this. So the last time I had sex was around the end of June. My period is around the 15-19 it comes around then. On the 15th last month I went to ichoice and got tested because I had unprotected sex(but my ex swears nothing got inside of me) and the lady said that it was negative. But since I hadn't missed my period yet, it could still be positive. So I got my period on about July 16th or 17th. It last a few days(thats normal, but it was very light, somewhat normal) and then I kept freaking out about being pregnant because I thought I was gaining weight and feeling a pulse in my abdomen. So today I started what I thought was my period, a week early. But it is just brownish liquid. So I freaked out some more.. took a first response test and it said negative. What does all of this mean? Is it posible I could be pregnant? (I'm 16, so some people have told me it could just be my age and my cycle is changing) any information, or input helps!

It could just be your cycle... might be age, can also be from the worry over a possible pregnancy. Both can cause periods to be off a bit. The brownish discharge could just be your period getting ready to start. See what happens by next week when it normally would be due. Since you had a normal period in July, and have had negative test results, odds are you are not pregnant.

Do be sure to be extra cautious in the future. Don't leave your protection up to a boyfriend.

If you think your pregnant you could always get a blood test or a scan to be sure it also helps ease your mind. You should use protection if getting pregnant isn't what you want birth control is always an option as well and from similar situations tracking your periods helps a lot to.
