I'm wondering the name of a disney movie where a guy has a star weapon and when he throws it, it comes back to him when he has his hands out but in the end it get stuck and he loses it. Anybody know the name of this?

This sounds like it might be Krull. That's the only thing that leaps to mind from the reference to the bommeranging star-shaped weapon, though it wasn't a Disney movie. And it came out in 1983.
