I'm trying to remember a movie about this college professor who is seduced by a student who then tries to ruin his career and life. It involved a female friend who was trying to help him who had some form of cancer. In the end, I think the girl was sorry for what she had done, although the guy's life was still ruined and he ended up sleeping with this friend with cancer because she had never known real love and he wanted to give her that before she died.
Sounds weird, but it was very sweet. I want to say the name "Daniel" was in the title like "The Framing of Daniel so and so " something along those lines. I thought Kevin Spacey was in it, but I looked on IMDb and the movie wasn't there so it wasn't him.
