    Urine test for alcohol
How long does alcohol stay in system and detected by urine test?

Usually 24 to 78 hours depending on the type of alcohol and how much is consumed

Hay J-9 is that a pic of my dog? No I didn't think so it's not barking or sleeping.

Sorry question, why would anyone want to give you a test for alcohol?
Usually it's a brethalizer. Or a blood test.

With a regular alcohol test which only goes back 24 hours a lot of water can clear the system by the next day. But with the new EtG test it can go back 80 hours. I take the test I know.

Hey jigg- this "regular alcohol test" that can detect 24 hour consumption of alcohol- what is it detecting? Alcohol or some other metabolite? And do you know if the EtG test can be an "on -site, urine dipstick" test- or it has to be sent to the lab?

When In doubt just don't drink 80 hours before your drug test and to reassure you are clean drink lots of water the day before up till the test is to be taken.

The regular test is for ethanol, can be done on site. ETg is a metabolite resulting from ingestion of ethanol, can be tracked back up to 80 hours, and a urine specimen must be sent to a lab. Usually results are ready within 36 hours.
