I want to know if there is anything I can do to stop people being ignorant on cell phones.
I work in retail and I am constantly having people come up to the cash already on their phone and totally ignore me while I ring in their purchases or they ask me a question and then answer their phone while I am answering them. Sometimes they will walk around our relatively quiet store and have loud personal or business conversations involving foul language. Once I was told off by a woman for interrupting her conversation when I didn't even realize she was on the phone because the ear bud was hidden under her long hair.
I would love to tell these people off but I am afraid that my spineless company will not back me up. Customer is always right and all that garbage.
Any suggestions?
