My Dr. said my thyroid is working overtime in idle. That although it is constantly working that it isn't doing anything it should.
I have almost all of the hypothyroid symptoms and barely none of the hyperthyroid symptoms.
My Dr. put me on med's for hyperthyroid.
Which is only making me feel worse. Anyone have any advice or experience with thyroid disorder?
I don't know why you are questioning your doctor on this site. Treating a thyroid is a slippery slope; there is no way it can be fine tuned and your doctor is probably doing the best she can with her diagnosis and your thryoid.
Not knowing your other pertinent medical history, there is no way we can give you a recommendation telling you she is correct or not.
You will have to wait and see while taking the meds if you have just started a regime.

There are no MDs on this site, and you won't find any anywhere without paying a fee. And guess what? They won't answer any differently.
Your thyroid is either producing too much thyroid hormone or too little, but you don't even say what your blood test results were.
There are PLENTY of conditions that can give you the symptoms of hypo.
What are your calcium levels? How old are you?
(I ask about calcium because of so many doctors who aren't aware of parathyroidism, totally different, but worth asking about. Gary Shandling died of it because his doctor refused to acknowledge that the symptoms indicate a tiny tumor behind the parathyroid glands.)

You should go see an endocrinologist. The response that you will not get good answers here is valid advice. We can guess, just like you are guessing, but we are not better than reading wikopedia on a subject like this because the thyroid is very complex, and various tests would need to be done. For my own, I've had multiple types of blood tests and a thyroid ultrasound and we're still figuring it out. That's real doctors at a teaching hospital with an outstanding reputation, and all the test results at hand. Keep working with your doctor - if he/she is not a specialist, ask for a referral. Thyroid is tricky.
Consult with an experienced endocrinologist, he will take care your problem. I had the problem of hormanal imbalance but got treated by endocrinologist..
