    Computer won't play dvds
    Hi there

When I tried to play a dvd on my PC on powerdvd it says 'The powerdvd Direct show decorder filters have not been installed properly'
But I never use this and have never unistalled it or anything like that it came with the PC when I bought it 3 years ago and used to work fine , I also tried it on media player classic and it didn't work nor did it on windows media player.

Did you try other DVDs? If its just the one DVD, it may be from a different region or be damaged in some way. If it happens on multiple DVDs, you may need to update your codecs. To do so go to the WEB site for the player (PowerDVD's for example) and make sure you have all the updated codecs.
