Who is known as the father of socialism? What did he believe?
Hi! I have been searching online, and most people say that Karl Marx is the father of COMMUNISM, but I cannot find anything connecting him to socialism... So, my question is, who is known as the father of socialism, and what did he believe?

There is no actual father of socialism. Basically it is a historical movement that had a variety of authors over a period. There would be some dispute as to the actual starting point of socialism, let alone the actual author.

Marx is a link in the socialist movement. Marx believed in the inevitability of communism. Socialism would eventually lead to communism. Eventually the state would disappear and reveal a classless society. For Marx, communism is the end goal of socialism.

I don't know who came up with the idea of communism as a political process. It is possible Marx borrowed the idea from an associate Ludwig Feuerbach. However, this would be subject too much debate.

The communist states that exist today, or have existed in the past are not the end product of socialism as envisaged by Marx.
