Tried lightening dyed brown hair (Ash brown but turned dark brown), turned coppery?
Ok, so I originally had black hair. I'm asian/caucasian mix and my hair is fairly thick.

I had it bleached, and it turned a nice honey blonde and a bit coppery at the free ends.

Then I dyed it with Revlon Colorsilk Medium Ash Brown. The color turned out too dark so I decided to shampoo it with Loreal Elseve colorvive mixed with a little hair bleach and vitamin C.

Now it's a wee bit lighter, sort of like a coppery dark brown.

I HATE the reddish tinge to it. Is there any way to get it to show a little bit lighter Ash Brown?

You might could use a brass neutralizer which is very inexpensive to buy at salon beauty supply. They have different kinds for different colors depending on what you are trying to neutralize. It cost about $3.00 or $4.00. I would check all over the internet and you can even call the 1800 numbers on the back of the color boxes for a hair colorist specialist. Good luck!

Hmm, I would have done the same thing. Maybe you could try bleaching it again and the maybe try a dark blonde? Try the same brand because maybe that brand just goes darker than you wanted? I'm not sure but that's what I would do? Or maybe bleach it and go with a light brown from another brand. I hope I helped in some way lol :P good luck :)
