I live in London Ont and I gave up my daughter in 1977 here in London. I'm registered but haven't heard back... so I really I need help to find her. I know her adopted name etc. Please help

I'm assuming this was a closed adoption since it was in 1977. Correct me if I am wrong. Are you signed up at the adoption websites?

Maybe she is not looking for you? If you know the agency and her adopted name, it shouldn't be that hard to find her. What have you done besides registering and where did you register?

If you have registered, and she has chosen not to find you, then what you need to do is stop.

I don't condone reunions where both parties are not willing and even eager to meet each other. For all you know, she may not even know she is adopted, and you could disrupt her entire world by showing up at her doorstep. Or she may have other reasons for not choosing to search for you at this time--such as an adoptive parent that she risks alienating, or that she may know that she is adopted, but her family (including possibly a husband and children at this point) do not know.

If you have registered, then you have done your part. Now you wait until she is ready for contact.
