    Tickling inside legs.
    Hi,

I have this unexplained tickling/itching sensation under the skin in my right thigh (above my femur).

It is not painful though, but its annoying, because I can't even scratch it.

I made sure that the sensation is NOT on the epidermis.

It feels as if a worm is crawling under my skin at that spot.

I've had it since 7 years now, and its always the same spot, and it is most intense for 3 weeks in a year. During other times, it occurs randomly and goes away.

It only goes away after I bang the spot with my fist.

    Thanks

ishwar, your ailment sounds more like a psychological one then a physical one. I suggest you have your thyroid checked. See your doctor. Better be careful of bruising when you 'bang the spot with your fist'.

    Hi,

No, it can't be psychological, or a definite pattern of the ailment would be noticed (like when I'm stressed out or something). This occurs randomly. I can't see any lesions/sore/enlarged area on the spot. There is no visible ailment!

Do you think some of my nerves are damaged so that they are receiving false signals?

Or maybe its my lymph nodes? But wouldn't they be enlarged up till a noticeable extent if there was anything wrong with them?

My thyroids are fine. I have a good metabolism and don't feel tired or anything.
