How can I uncheck the protect password on the windows default screen saver?

Go into Display properties > Screen saver and uncheck on resume password protect.

That's the problem, I can't uncheck it.

I need to uncheck the password protect from the default screen saver in window but it is greyed out and will not let me. How do I change this?

If it is grey'd out then it has been set by group policy and there is NOTHING you can do.
