Making extra money on the side.
I'm not sure if this is the right place, mods please move if it isn't.

I'm taking a 6 month leave of absence from work in November 2010, as I am moving to Arizona for that timeperiod to be with my significant other and begin the process of bringing him here to live (whole other, complicated story).

Anyway, I need to save up as much as I can for this trip, as I still will have a car back home and rent payments (that will be cut in half for that time period) for my apartment back home (I live in Ontario, Canada).

I need suggestions for making money on the side, if possible. It probably isn't, considering I work a TONNE (I'm at work at 8am and not out until 6-8pm Monday-Friday, and I work/am on call every third weekend). A second job is most likely out of the question, so I don't know if aaaanything is really probable.

    But, any suggestions?

What do you mean by "on the side"? Are you asking about employment off the books?

Are you Canadian asking about working in the US? Do you have the appropriate papers?

(This is called answering a question WITH a question.. but more info is needed - )

Nah I just meant making extra money besides my job. I've read about doing something like Avon, may look into it..

And no I won't be working in the US, I'm there as a visitor so I can't. I'm just trying to find a way to make more money leading up to my trip there next November.

    So try Avon. :-)

Do you do any pet sitting? That's right up your alley and I would think you could also do special needs pets since someone like that can be difficult to find.

I dog-sit for a client of ours, but it's hard for me now since people here want me to live in their house, but now that I have a dog he has to come with me..

"My" pet sitter comes to my house, brings her dog - doesn't live here when I'm gone but stops between 3 and 4 times a day - at great expense, I might add, but she's worth it.
