My 2 or 3 year old Kenmore washer suddenly stopped spinning! It goes through the entire cycle then suddenly stops at the spin cycle. It makes plenty of noise as if it is was the spin cycle but then when you go to unload the clothes, they are sopping wet. Yet they are not standing in water. The washer appears to be draining, just not spinning the excess water out. Any suggestions on where to start? It is out of warranty. Is it worth it to call for repair or cheaper to get a new one? Any help would be appreciated. It cost about $550 about 2 or 3 years ago. Thanks.

Does the timer advance past the spin cycle? I take it that it does agitate,right
