One thing you can do, if you have an available cat5 cable, is plug it up into the laptop and into your router and once you have an internet connection that way, look for updated drivers for your laptop's wireless software.
Another thing to check (and I don't mean this to be a smart-alec, I've had more than one support call in which this was the case) is that you have your internal wireless actually turned on rather than just assuming it would automatically connect.
Hi,
Let me ask you a few questions so that I help you with the solution:
1. What version of windows or other OS are you using?
2. which is the wireless router you are trying to connect to?
3. How far away are you from the wifi router?
Cheers!
You should also check, if you can, that the wireless network is broadcasting its SSID. That's normally how other computers detect the network. If you don't have access to the wireless router, you'll have to contact the administrator of that router.
