    Mystery object
    I have this... thing, not exactly sure what it is, but thinking it is a tooth of some kind. I have been trying to figure this out for about 8 years now and so far have gotten no where. I can guarantee this thing is organic, and most likely a tooth, claw, bone or something like that

    Where did you get it?
    It does look like a tooth... it also looks like a giant seed, although I can't imagine one that big, even prehistoric and calcified.

    It was in a big box of rocks recovered from a storage lien sale years ago. Cannot say where it came from originally, but the lien sale was in northern California.

    Even if it's fossilized, I wonder if it's a corm (not 'corn'), a plant bulb. The little bit peeking out looks like the new growth, the cotyledon.
