    Shower drain not butting up with pipe
    I glued in a 2" pipe to the drain and it did not quite butt up against it but worse than that when I attached the pipe to the flange there is a gap of about 3/8". The parts all dry fit no problem. I guess I didn't move fast enough or used too much PVC cement. My question is will this leak? Do I have to pull it out and start over as this would involve removing a partial wall and the floor itself. Help!

    Assume any gap will leak... especially in a situation like this where you'll be making the area inaccessible when you finalize the installation of the shower.

    You may be able to get away with cutting the drain and using a rubber
    "No-Hub".

    Can you insert a picture of what you're looking at?

    I'll try to but my computer knowledge is barely more than my plumbing knowledge... I went to the local supply store and one of the guys said that PVC is forgiving and if there is enough glue it should be okay but I figured it may leak also... I was hoping to avoid taking down the partial wall and the floor if I could.. I'll try and get a picture up, Thanks!

    Once you've glued plastic pipe it's perminate however there's a site just made to correct mistakes such as yours. Click on;
