Plugged the Power supply cord incorrectly and Monitor recieves no signals.
Hi! I am new to this site.
I used an extension cord to connect my system unit and monitor. I usually keep the extension cord connected to the plug socket in the wall without turning it off. So, when I want to turn on my computer, I plug the power cords (of system unit and monitor) to the sockets in the extension cord. As the extension cord has already supplied power, a little spark comes out almost everytime I plug the power cords.
One day, I inserted the earth prong (the long, third pin) of System Unit power cord into the right-side hole of socket. (I don't know correct words of those things, sorry)
Please, check the picture in the link below.

The relavant prong and socket hole is indicated with rectangles on the image.
As I plugged it, I got a little electric shock and a relatively large electric spark came out of the socket. I immediately pulled the plug and plugged it back correctly. The computer started normally.
But, the monitor showed a "No Signal" message for few seconds and went black. Now, everytime I unplug and replug the power cords, the System Unit normally starts but Monitor shows "No signal". There is a little light bulb in the bottom right of monitor indicating power supply. That light turns to Orange from it's usual yellow color when the message dissapears.
The monitor is connected to System Unit with a VGA cable.
(Likely problem has occured to me several times earlier. Removing the RAM cards and reinserting them solved the problem, but not this time.)
I switched the power cables and VGA cable, but the problem still persists.
Do you know or Can you guess what happened to the computer?
I cannot bring this 100 METRIC TON computer to a repair shop 100km away. And computer repair men won't come to my house 100km away from the town. Also, I don't have 100 bucks to buy a new computer.
Only you can help me! Please help me!
Thanks!
