    Tick bite
Is it normal to have a temperature after getting a tick bite? Seven year old girl was sick for three days and had a high temp on and off before we found tick. We removed the tick and she is still running a fever every few hours. Is this normal? I made an appointment for the doctor, I just want to know if I should take her to the E.R. before then?

No. This is not normal. Get her seen as soon as possible.

I don't think you need the ER, but you don't say when the appt is! You need to tell the doctor's office that you hope she can get started on antibiotics the sooner the better.
(One situation where you really do need them.)

Where you live is important since some areas are endemic for Lyme disease or other tick borne diseases such as Rocky Mountain Fever. Quick appointment would be good. Most doctors would make time considering the issue.
