My computer is sending packets to my xbox360 but it is not receiving any from it my ip address is being obtained automaticaly and I think that is the problem I had an ip address until last night when I changed it to obtain it by itself because I was told to do so by a friend (long story trying to get my internet working) can anyone tell me what to do?

1stly, make sure you have a Cross-Over network cable. The normal network cables will not work.

2ndly, Enable ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on your PC. This will automaticaly give your PC an IP of 192.168.0.1 and will also act as an DHCP server giving your XBox an IP.
