What kind of rocks are these?
Found these rocks and they are light blue and gray. With flash it shows a bit more purple. Anyway, I was curious as to what they were.

Where were the rocks found and under what type of conditions?

Sorry, accidentally asked the question without pictures. These were found in Western North Carolina (blue ridge mtns) on a cow path made into the side of a hill.

    Thanks

I added some larger pics so they are easier to see.

The Blue Ridge are granite based mountains. I can see quartz, hematite( red iron) , feldspar. Since these mountains are a product of plate techtonics, you will find many different minerals all pressed together. There is no one name for these rocks except granite, with other mineral inclusions.
