Notice period for quitting the job
    Hi,

I am hired by my company directly without any contract, and my offer letter says that Employment is at will. I am about to quit my job, I asked my fellow colleagues about how to resign (as this is my first job) and what should be the notice period. All of them said that you can leave any time as employment is at will, but do a general practice to give at least 2 weeks notice. I am pretty much confused that, if I give them 2 weeks notice they may ask me to leave immediately that I don't want because after 2 weeks my experience will be of 6 months in that company. So, I am planning to give 1 week notice, is that fine ?

Even if you give one week's notice, they may ask you to bundle up your personal stuff and then usher you out the door that same day.

I'd wait until 6 months and then give 2 weeks.
It NEVER hurts to give 2 weeks. You may find yourself being interviewed by someone from this company at other company someday, or even be working under. It's a small world.

The company has 2 new hires for same position, and they are getting trained right now.
What should I do in this case, please help for notice period!

Do you know you will be let go, once they are trained? How long before they are finished with training?

Are you going to be "let go"? Will the two new people replace you?

They could, because company already fired 3 in a month without any reason. All were good ones and worked more than a year.
What I think 1 week would be enough as I will be working for less than a year.

Two weeks is the standard notice, but one week is fine -- but beware that you may get escorted out the door the same day you give notice. It's employment "at will" for the company too.

    Thank you,
One more thing, who should I hand over it to ? I was interviewed by company president, but my Administrative manager is someone else and resource manager is different too.

I would give it to your immediate supervisor.
