    I've heard that Paul Ryan has said he wants to end Medicare in 2017. I don't know how true it is. I've heard nothing about any attempts to end Social Security. That doesn't mean, the current political climate, that someone won't try.

    You need to be politically aware and vote for people who will support SSN retirement benefits. AARP is a good lobbying organization with factual info.
