Will a single use of cocaine fail a hair test?
Hi there I am looking to get the bottom of the line of the above answer.. I have read from multiple source some including major U.S drug testing companies s that a single small first time ever dose of cocaine will not test positive on a drug test. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this question with reliable information thank you.

    Dose:100mg
    Test: Hair Test
Time between exposure and test: 3-4weeks.

Depends on when you are tested following that single use and how much you used. If you think you can snort/smoke or shoot up enough dope to supply Peru in one sitting and pass a drug test (and not OD), you are mistaken. However drug tests are to reveal habitual use, and single use would likely not show up in the 90 day window they are designed to detect in.

I wouldn't count on passing the next day though after using, a week... likely. Also depends on the test as a blood or hair/nails test is more comprehensive than a urine test.

Which one are you taking, and how long since LAST use (assuming ONLY use)?

Hi there thanks for the fast reply. Let me give you more details. Lets say the test would be done 20-30 days after exposure and the amount used was a "bump" which I believe is less than 100mg. Thanks

And it is a hair test.

    You SHOULD be okay.

It should be OK because of the limits allowed on testing.

A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. The amount you described won't show up in a hair test. My best guess is that you will be negative.
