Kenmore Elite Dryer Won't Heat on Timed Cycle
I have a Kenmore Elite Dryer that is 4 years old. The dryer will not heat on the timed cycle, but it will heat on the Even Heat Cycle. The heating element will not com on when I have the timed cycle selected. On the Even Heat Cycle all of the temperature settings work. My dryer has a rotary dial.

    Help would be appreciated.

The problem is likely in the timer. It has a bunch of cams that trip switches. One of those switches activates the relay that controls the heating element. There should be an inscrutable schematic inside the dryer someplace showing which cam, switch, and wire should be hot in the timed cycle to activate the relay. The timed cycle may also use a different over temperature switch. Unless somebody shows up knowing more about that model, you will just have to struggle through the schematic.
