An acquaintance showed me how to add my own words to the blue IE bar at the top of the screen. I now want to get rid of them (my own words) and don't remember where I was told to go to change this. Please help!

Was it the Group Policy Editor?
Click Start > RUN and type "gpedit.msc". The settings for IE are under User Configuration > Internet Explorer Maintenance > Browser User Interface.
I think the line for the Browser Title is the one you want to edit.
"gpedit.msc" doesn't work. It says Windows can't find it.
Is there another way to get to the User Configuration?
Thanks!
Typing "gpedit.msc" without the quotes should open the editor in Windows 2000/XP.
Are you running Win98/ME?
I'm using XP Home and, yes, I typed it without the quotes. Didn't work. Says Windows doesn't recognize this.
My mistake - GPEDIT.MSC is only available in XP Pro.
For XP Home you'll need a registry tweak - maybe the instructions in this link will help... http://www.tweakxp.com/article36874.aspx
TweakUI will do this as well as a lot of other bits and pieces.
Thank you!
