    Dog with lack of appetite
    Hi

My dog is 14 years old.. at the moment she has heart problems, we've been giving her medication to help her breathing it has work pretty much, but the problem now is she has no appetite.. very little food eating, but a lot of water drinking.. what should I do about this?

At her age, and with her medical condition, it is time for you to call the vet again and bring her in for a health check. Either the medication is upsetting her stomach or there is something more serious going on. Please give him/her a call this morning.

The thing is when we started giving the medication , she look liked she was revived good appetite better energy, she slowly looks no appetite and drunk walks the rare times she gets up 2 walk.. is there any type of food that I can syringe into her mouth that would make her stronger?

Steven, I wouldn't play around with it. If she isn't eating and appears to be "drunk walking", I really am very concerned. I don't like to force feed any animal unless the vet specifically directs me to do it. With her heart condition, I don't know if forcing her to eat is the wisest thing to do. If you can't get her in today for an exam, call the vet and ask his/her advice as to what to do. They don't charge for a phone call. I would rather see you get advice from the vet that knows your dog, than someone over the internet who isn't familiar with her case. We may give you the wrong advice and it may negatively affect your dog. :(
