Does anyone know what the difference is now that the bankruptcy laws have changed? What exactly has changed that would prevent a person from getting a say... Chapter 7 now as compared to before the law changed.
This would be for the state of PA. Thanks for any help.

Here's one of PA's Bankruptcy info sites:
    http://www.pawb.uscourts.gov/

I couldn't find a page with regulations or requirements at a glance, but browse through it - you may find it - and/or contact them for directions to where you can learn what is required.

I'm not sure about all the changes, but I heard on the Suzie Orman Show that if you file for bakruptcy, you CANNOT discharge any student debts as they will stay with you forever.

FYI, That would be Government Student Loans that they were speaking of.
