    Heat energy into electrical energy
Working concept of condenser in a power plant

The company uses power plant with condenser (direct translation from my language). So, to decrease the temperature of a steam condenser is used. Water comes from a river into the condenser, gets heat from a steam and goes out to the river again. So the difference between temperature coming from river and going out of condenser to the river is approximately 5-6 С. If considering that the volume per hour of outcoming water is 20 000 m3/hour it is a huge amount of heat loss that could have been converted to electrical energy.

This is the problem of a company. Some of the possible solutions to this problem are:

    1) To use heat pump

    2) To use thermoelectrical generator

    The question is:

    1) What are the other possible solutions? And what solution might be the best choice for it? Could not you explain the ways of using it?

    2) What do power plants around the world use to convert heat of water in condenser to electrical energy?

Thank you very much for your attention.
