I am 16 years old & I've had mirena for about 4 months now. I have these really bad cramps ALL the time. My breast have gotten bigger & I keep gaining weight even though I don't eat much & I walk everyday. I've never been pregnant before so I don't know if I am or not. I've taking pregancy test & they are all negative. Most of the time I am very tired & feel weak but I'm not sure what is causing it I know it can multiple of things I just don't know what? Can u help me? Anything that can help would be nice

Are you able to find the strings as before? Sometimes the IUD can cause those types of symptoms. While pregnancy can happen, since no form of birth control is 100% effective, it is not common when using an IUD. If the symptoms you have were due to pregnancy, it would be unusual that you would not get a positive on a test by this time.

If you can't find the strings, or if you continue to be unsure about possible symptoms, see your doctor again for the peace of mind. If things don't change for you, you might find discussing a different form of birth control would be a good idea.
