    Toilet won't flush
Our toilet won't flush at all, when you press the handle down, it is loose. Also, I opened up the tank and it is filled with brown murky water. What should we do?

    Hi Saras910.

Lift the flapper in the middle of the toilet tank and that will empty the tank of the murky water, effectively flushing the toilet, and then you should be able to see that the flapper has somehow become disengaged from the toilet handle.

Most likley the chain from the flapper has broken off. In this case, you may be able to use a PAPERCLIP to rejoin the chain to the handle or you may need an entirely new flapper with chain.

Most likely the murky water is really a murky tank and nothing to really worry about as most toilet tanks are kind of yucky as a norm... ;)

Let us know how you make out, OK?

    Hey,

Thank you so much for the reply. My husband came home and it turns out that the flapper? Is broken. He is going to let the landlord know and hopefully he can get it replaced soon. The only way to flush is to put our hand inside of the tank.
