    Squealing shower
The shower in my second bath makes a loud squealing noise when turned on, this sound is not present when I am filling the tub. Only when the shower is operating and the water pressure/volume seems to be just fine. This does not happen in the main bathroom but always happens in bath #2 any idea of why it happens?

My first guess is deposits in the shower head. Try removing it and cleaning it.

    Hey Ski,
Try Labmans solution first and if that don't get it check the diverter.
You may have a diverter that's vibrating. What's the brand name of your faucet? Diverter on the spout or is it part of the valve? Give me the details and help me out. Cheers, Tom

Labman advised you to clean the shower head. Why not soak the shower head in CLR or a mineral solvent to clean out the holes? While the shower head is off turn the water on and pull the diverter up. Any noise now? Tom

I have the same problem, squeals with the shower head removed, the diverter is in the spout. It is a Moen.
