The main cold water inlet pipe broke on top of the water heater,and flooded my floor before I could shut it off ,got it fixed and now have no running water in kitchen facuet but have it in the bathroom and in the shower,hot and cold. We have a home built back in the 40's and most of the plumbing is metal pipe. I'm really confused at this after spending all that cash on parts for repair and still have no water in the kitchen facuet,none period.help please!

Well it's a cheap brand replacement faucet, 3 years old tried all of the above it has two handles still when I turn on both no pressure ,period. Plumber time! Thanks for the info.

OK I got some help from speedball, but that didn't work either. The main cold water inlet pipe broke on top of the hot water heater,I shut it off a the water nain, fixed the pipe just the same way it was before ,I didn't change anything. Took the faucet apart cleaned it out and the areaator too. All of it. I have excellent water pressure in the bathroom ,tub,sinks hot and cold. The water heater is about 30 ft from the bathroom. The kitchen sink is 8ft from the hot water heater. The home was built in the 40's and most of the water lines are gavanized pipe. So could something have disloged inside of the pipe to the kitchen faucet and totally stopped it up? The hot water line is copper,and the cold is metal pipe.somebody didn't know what they were doing when they hooked this up .this was changed out in 1994, so anybody else have any ideas?

You have debris in your faucet spout remove the aerator see the image below clean the screens assemble and check if it will help, good luck.

When you had the faucet apart did you turn the water back on to flush out the supplies? You should have a full stream coming out of the supplies when you do this.
If you still have no water with the aerator removed then you have dislodged mineral built up in the pipe walls that is now blocking the inlet ports of the cartridge.
The solution would be to shut the water off and open up the faucet, remove the cartridge and check and clean the inlet ports.
Now, place a pan over the open valve and turn on the hot and cold water to flush out the supplies. To tell you more when will need the brand name and model number. Good luck, tom

We are now having a plumber come and replace the pipes they are very old and corroded thru-out the lines and they are brittle as well thanks for your help tom. blucollar-in alabama!

Good choice with the Moen, and having the old galv pipes replaced. I do feel like I should mention that afaroo was just trying to help. We read so many post here that we sometimes miss certain points, and all he was doing was giving you another option, although be it you had already mentioned that you had checked the aorator, his information wasn't bad information, he was just trying to help. There are a select few here that come and try to help others on a regular (or fairly regular, like me) basis. All of us have info to give, but sometimes we miss certain aspects of the question. We do our best.
