How can I till if a bathtub is Plastic, fiberglass or acrylic?
How can I tell if my bathtub is acrylic, fiberglass, or plastic? It is the original tub in a 1989 "Homes of Merrit" Pine Manor mobil home. I have called the Dealer and Manufacturer and they were unable to give me that info. I would like to get the tub resurfaced.

More than likely it is a plastic tub. Why get it resurfaced when you can replace it altogether with a new tub? Does it have any holes in it or you just don't like the color?

Im also guessing plastic, since its in an older mobile home. Can you post a picture of it? Also, can you see the underside of it from any access holes. Tell us what the bottom side(undernieth) looks like.
