Faucet leaks when running portable dishwasher
I've noticed a leak at the base of my kitchen faucet only when our portable dishwasher is running. I've had problems before with faucets leaking and have changed washers and eventually bought a new faucet. I assume the dishwasher is causing these seals to go bad, but what can I do to stop it?

We have had problems with ours too--the hose doesn't tighten on the faucet well so it leaks. We wrap a washcloth and some wire around the hose/faucet to hold it together and prevent leaks. We also try to shut the water off while the dishwasher is using the water already inside it. It seems to help and stop some of the leaking. I don't know if they actually cause seals to GO bad because we've had faucet leaking problems since day one.

Sorry I didn't have a definite answer or permanent solution, but these suggestions might help stop some of the leaks. Honestly, if we hadn't decided to rig it up with some wire (which is a pain to do every time we connect it) we would have just gotten rid of the dishwasher because the leaks were so bad.
