    Dirt Coming Out Of Faucet
Hi. I have noticed dirt coming out of my bathtub faucet. If you run water for a bath, when it is done draining out, there is dirt left behind. Also today, I had the water in my kitchen faucet coming out brown for a little bit (no dirt) but that was for just a little while. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks :)

You must live in a dry area. The water table has fallen and your pumps well point's sucking dirt. Talk to your neighbors. Do they have the same problem? How deep is your well? How old is it? Back to you, Tom

I really don't have any close neighbors. It has been raining pretty steadily for the past week or better, so surface conditions are definitely not dry. I don't know how much of it has made down to the well. This house was built in 1964, along with the well, as far as I know. It is the house I grew up in - parents are both deceased. I guess a plumber wouldn't work in this situation?

    Hi Tom,

I'd click on the scales but I don't seem them on my page. Thanks for the answer! I did call my plumber and he said a few people in my area have been complaining about the same thing. The water table, according to him, has gotten kind of low. He is supposed to come out to either flush the hot water lines (?) or possibly put a filter on near my water tank in the basement sometime next week. I noticed this morning that there is dirt residue in my washer downstairs ( had to get a new water valve on that yesterday since I had problems with that this week too and there is now some dirty water in the toilet as well. It has been one of those weeks:eek:

Nepagirl72: You can install Whole House filtration system to solve your dirty water problem. See the photo. I think, in your case, you could even get away with the small "blue" filter shown on the left side in the photo..
