How do I get my .mpp files to open with Project Manager 2007?
My operating system is Windows Vista. My Windows version is 2007.
I recently purchased Microsoft Office Project 2007 Standard Edition. My installation was successful. I accidentally activated it through Mozilla Firefox. I am not sure if this makes a difference or not. But, if I remember correctly, it is suppose to be activated or registered through Internet Explorer. My .mpp files either try to open with adobe reader or a Microsoft 2007 component, but Microsoft Project 2007 is nowhere to be found to open it with.
This is the message I receive when trying to open the .mpp file:
    C:\Users\Laura\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Tem porary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\X5WD0VGO\Huffman_Benefits[1].mpp is not a valid Win32application.
    Thank You!

You may need to 'reset' the file association (i.e. the default program that opens the .mpp file). Right click on the .mpp file; Open with; Choose default program. Recommended programs will be listed first. If you do not see Microsoft Office Project Manager listed, select the 'browse' tab. It will open another window with all of your program files. Scroll down to Project Manager, open the folder and look for the .exe file extension. Double click and that should establish Project Manager as the default program. Hope this helps.
