What Might Be a Common Table Prayer Before Meals That You Use in Your Religion?
There are many religions. Within those religions, there might be many divisions of various kinds, like sects, denominations. Or other ways of naming the divisions.

What might be a common table prayer that you use according to your religious belief, please?

    Thanks!

"The Lord is good to us. And so we thank the Lord. For giving us the things we need, the sun and the rain, all the love He brings, the Lord is good to us." -this is coming from a catholic family with a native American background.

We thank you oh Lord for this food that gives us nourishment for our bodies and relief from the hunger pains we sometime suffer.

Thank you jaime90 and letmetellu for providing those! Does yours come from a particular religious tradition, letmetellu?

I had trouble understanding whay Grace was under the table when I was young. I didn't realize that Grace was a person's name and also the name for a prayer before meals.

    I grew up with:
Bless us our Lord for these thy gifts which we are about to receive from your bounty through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

LCMS: Come, Lord Jesus, be our guest, and let these gifts to us be blessed. Amen.

At the end of a meal: Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good and His mercy endureth forever and ever. Amen.

I'm also a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.

I found it odd that I'd never heard that particular pre-meal prayer until I became involved with them.

That ending prayer, although familiar to me, is one that I hadn't thought of using at the end of a meal.

    Thanks!
