Who cares what he spent his check on. You did not have to replace the car that you were driving. That's what insurance is for. If there was just liability on the vehicle then the car is a total loss. You need to check into taking full possession of the car that you have titlted in your name and you are paying for. Let HIM and his family worry about replacing the car. It's his worry now, not yours. You have been brainwashed by this jerk for way too long. Time to wake up and look after you and your daughter and forget about him. Who cares what HE thinks. Legally you did not have to replace the car.

Good for you. Please do this. And by all means don't take any of his phone calls. If he sends you any threats via phone or in person of doing you bodily harm, please report him to the police. If he injures you, press charges. Steer clear of him as best as you can and try to relocate where he can't find you or your daughter.

Thank you. I broke off all communication the day it happened. I know I was brainwashed and it has taken a couple weeks for me to get out that and now I am thinking more clearly.

I am a few hours away and protected by friends. There should be no way for him to find us. I work where there are u.s. marshalls, so he would be wise to stay clear from there.

I just hope HE knows about the Marshalls. They are a good bunch of folks. Know several of them. Good luck to you and your daughter on the way to a new, fresh start!

Yes, you just start the best you can, I started over a few years ago, I got a local church help me with a few dishes and sheets and towels. I got some funiture from off the street, what people were throwing out, or when others were evicted and their things set on the street.

In our apartment complex as people moved or right before being evicted, they often gave away things , so over a year I progressed.
