People rub their nose around me? HELP!
    Ok...
Ive been addicted to weed for about a couple of months. I used to smoke everyday throughout my whole junior year of high school. I quit smoking on July 16th 2010. And ever since then I've noticed something weird. Every time I breathe people rub their nose. Like I could be 20 feet away and they would rub their nose. I don't know what's wrong with me. Its like I'm breathing bacteria or something. I brush my teeth two times a day and use mouth wash. I try to keep my mouth as clean as possible. Even when I breathe out of my nose I notice people rub their noses. Maybe its something wrong on the inside of my body, I don't know. Someone please help!
I feel so uncomfortable around people, when I'm in school I don't even breathe when I'm close to someone.
This has made me very unhappy, and anti social.

    Hello Potter,

Is your scent a strong one? What I mean, is sometimes some people who smoke have a very strong scent. Do you have one?

Could you ask someone you trust if your breathe smells bad?

Someone who will tell you the truth?

If they say yes, perhaps a trip to the dentist?

Are you sure it's your breath and not your body?

I also kind of have to wonder, are you sure people are really doing this in response to you? You mentioned people do this even when they are not near you. Which makes me wonder if maybe you've just become self conscious and are now assuming people do this whenever they are near you whether they really do.

Bad Breath? Im not sure... Please help!
I have been a smoker for about over a year now. I just recently quit in July. I used to smoke weed, cig's, and black&milds like EVERYDAY, and I also drank and party'd a lot... I used to smoke about 11 to 12 blunts a day.. even more.

Ever since I quit, I've noticed something weird. Every time I breathe, the people around me itch their nose. Even when I breathe out of my nose. When I'm in school sitting at my desk, the students around me itch and rub their noses. I could be 10 feet away and they'd still itch their noses. When I'm in public places like the mall, people itch and touch their noses also. Even my mom and my younger brother rub their nose whenever I speak, or whenever I breathe around them. During passing period, I walk the halls holding my breath so I won't have to see people touching or itching their noses.

This has made me very self conscious. I don't talk to people in school, and I don't go out anymore because of this. Its very embarrassing.

I spend at least 20 minutes in the morning and at night brushing my teeth and rinsing my mouth out with mouthwash, But nothing seems to work. I also drink a lot of water and try to eat healthier.

I went to the doctor to find out if there was something wrong with my lungs, because sometimes I have trouble breathing. The doctor said I was fine. But maybe its something wrong on the inside of my body.. I know for a fact that its something wrong because before I started smoking no one ever touched or itched their nose whenever I started talking or breathing.

What is wrong with me? What can I do to stop people from rubbing their nose every time I talk or speak? Is it even possible for another person to smell bad breath when the person is breathing through their nose?

I regret ever smoking, drinking, and partying. It has ruined my life. Sometimes I wonder if this is Gods way of punishing me for smoking and disobeying him...
    PLEASE HELP! :'-(

Have you thought about going to a dentist. It's possible to have an on-going infection, and not have pain. The odour is horrible, and the person themselves may not be awareof that fact. Yes it is possible to breathe bad smells out of the nose. If you are were a smoker you might have noticed that sometimes when you exhale your smoke it comes out through the nose. If this is your problem no amount of brushing, rinsing or mints will help... trust me, I know.
