    Rebbie, soon. :)

Bushg, no, not snow, that's the spray I use. When looking at it in person you can't see the gloss of the spray, but the camera picks it up, I've tried everything. The spray protects the painting, so it's necessary, and like I said, not noticeable in person.

There is snow on the ground, three wolves, and tracks in the snow leading away from the wolves. What could it be that made those tracks? Perhaps a rabbit? ;)

This is the best picture I can take. Unfortunately there is a spray that I put on my oil paintings that doesn't do well when taking photographs, sorry. In real life the painting isn't glossy and it's much sharper than this.

    Alty,
    Beautiful painting...
Thanks for posting... If you have anymore we would love to see it.

Did you do it from an original?

Firmy, it is based on an original, I changed a few things, but wow, B Frank? Really? When I painted it I was not yet married, signed the painting with my maiden name and first initial, A. Frank, yes, that's right, A. Frank. :)

Weird coincidence as I never did see the original painters name, it was a poor photocopy of the painting and the name wasn't visible. Hmmmm, very interesting. :)

It is weird... I think it was months ago that I saw it,while searching for paintings to answer a question here, but then I never did pay much attention to the site as it wasn't the one I was looking for.I do remember thinking "Wolfs in a Blizzard",which I am sure is not the name of the painting.

When I have the time,I will search and post it here... that will be wonderful to have the original and your painting side by side.

Today I took my dogs on a car ride and I saw some yellow flowers growing beside of a utlity pole and I thought hmm nice way to detract from that ugly pole... I may have to try planting something there. Well today I'm browsing garden blogs and lo and behold what do I find.
    What the hell strip!

That's gorgeous, bushg. I love that idea and have often had the same thought. Once or twice I've seen people working on prettying up areas near their homes and I imagine how satisfying it must feel. It's not uncommon in Japan where there are small shrines dotted everywhere, usually strewn with flowers and sometimes in the oddest places, like a footbridge or at the bottom of a waterfall in the middle of nowhere. We have a small round-about in our small street with its own patch of ground - I'm fairly sure the few flowers I've seen there are planted by a woman who lives in one of the opposite houses who spends a lot of time in her garden. Cute touch with the dog statue by the way :-)

The dog with his tail in the air is cute isn't it... in my neighboorhood there is a house with a the same statue in her yard with the exception he is a beagle... I think it is so cute.

Who would have thunk... I was searching for evening/night blooming flowers... as I have four O'clocks that only bloom in the evening and I am going to add more evening bloomers.. Look what an interesting plant I found... It only blooms once per year!Tohono Chul Park, Queen of the Night: Night-Blooming Cereus

Great work Alty, thanks for sharing! You're too good to be hiding your talent.
Instead of posting your amazing paintings in a thread dedicated to stuff we've seen on the internet,
You should have your work indexed with the other artists of this site.
Clough would be more than happy to do this for you:) Go for it girly!

Thanks AkaeTrue, I'm still a bit reluctant to post with the other artists on this site. I enjoy painting and I do hang my work in my house and show it to friends and family, but I've seen the work of other artists on this site, I'm a bit shy to post my pictures among theirs, don't think I quite measure up.

Thanks for saying that you like them, I do too, and that's enough for me. :)

Go, Go, Go, Alty!! Post that Art on the art threads!! Do you think any of us feel worthy of posting our work? I know I don't. I enjoy sharing my work and the questions about technique and such but feel worthy to post~~~~Not me but I did anyway. Please do, seriously. Your work should be seen on the Art Threads!! :)

Timing is everything, right? There was not a post under you post with images and I posted on "Rate this Answer" on your work about hiding your talent, clicked and AkaeTrue's post was there and mentions you should not hide your talent. I think that should confirm you should not be hiding it, don't you? Hmmmm??

I am NOT saying this just because you are my friend. You aren't giving yourself enough credit girl! Those painting are beautiful! Do what everyone said, and post them on the art thread.

Geez, I wish I had some good pics of my floral designs, and all of the weddings, ballrooms, and show homes, etc. that I have done. I am going to see if I can get some of those pics and post them. Unfortunately, most of them are polaroids, or pics I would have to scan, and figure out how to print them. :(
