How to disable lan connection properties
In our office everyone have administrator account due to several reasons (XP Home).

    Some employees changing ip address.

Now I want to know how to disable the lan connection properties button.

I have downloaded gpedit for xp home and changed to disable lan connection properties,

But it is not worked for me.

And I got many answers but nothing is worked.

Please let me know the correct answers for my query.

There are a couple of things that come to mind:

    1. If this is a domain with a network server doing your authentication, set a policy to disable the required dialog box. The policy will over-ride the local permissions.

    2. If you are the network admin, you should be able to assign IP's to nics, that way if they change them, they will not be able to connect.

A couple more things to try anyway...
