    Australian christmas movie
A very poor family living in Australia going through a drought at christmas time. An old man "father Christmas" steals a music toy box (that only works when you put a coin in it)and gives it to the boy. A rich English Family has a big party and burn a Yule Log its way to hot at the party but the dad will not let anyone put out the fire... it's a really good movie

We watched this when we were young and can't find it or remember the name if anyone could help that would be wonderful!!

It's called A Miracle Down Under. I myself couldn't remember and was searching for it... I then remember the mom in it was the mom on E.T. so I just looked up E.T. on imdb and then clicked on her and went through all her movie listings until I found it. Now good luck finding it to purchase!

Hi. I have also been looking a long time for that movie (mostly for my mom) and finally have found it. I ordered a VHS from Amazon.com. What I am thinking is this: when I am finished copying it to dvd format, I could just forward it to you, if you are interested. As we are trying to get rid of our VHS movies and would only get a dollar for it at a garage sale anyway, I would prefer to pass it on to you. (Granted you live in the U.S. or Canada (for the sake of shipping costs)) Just an idea. If this sounds like something you want to do, please send me an email at [email protected]

We saw it on PBS and re-watched it for years. Then found it on VHS on amazon.com and found there were scenes we'd never seen before! Perfect for watching every Christmas with the family.
