I got my tongue 2 days ago and I was looking at my tongue and there was a white thing , like pus. My friend said when she got hers that didn't happen, could it be an infection or is it normal ?

Yes it could be,best to get it checked out right away,before it gets any worse.

If there's pus it's probably an infection. You should take the piercing out and clean your tongue with hydrogen peroxide a few times a day (it's okay to swish it in your mouth, just don't swallow it! And make sure to rinse your mouth with water after.) If you can you'll also want to try and get the pus out by gently applying pressure around the hole. While the piercing is out clean it with rubbing alcohol or with the peroxide. If you can stand it try leaving the piercing out for a day or two before putting it back in (the hole may grow shut if you do this... so it's up to you, but I'd recommend leaving it out for at least 24 hours). Make you clean it everyday with the peroxide until the piercing heals.

If your tongue swells, there is more pus, you get a fever or feel sick or tired in the next few days go see a doctor to get antibiotics as it could spread to your blood stream and get serious.
