Dani... how do you feel about all the recent EBAY or should I call it FEEBAY changes? Can't make any money on FEEBAY anymore... because you are working for pennies and they are getting dollars. The TSR is a joke and the DSR ratings are just not working out for anyone!

You know, I wouldn't have minded because I was getting a tenner for another item I was selling, but they haven't paid after 2 days, and doesn't look like they will be. GRGRSHDRT! Not the best of weeks, that's for sure.

The most ridiculous part of it is when I was trying to resolve it. I can now see why people complain about call centres in india. It seems they have a direct script to read from, and will repeat things they've already said. I'm not a spaz! I tried two people, who both had no clue. They said that I hadn't been fee-d, when I have the statement saying I had...

    Dani,

Many Canadians feel the same way about eBay and are using more local services like Kijiji where you meet the seller usually for the exchange. I see in the UK you have a similar service in gumtree.com.

Dani... wait until paypal holds your funds for 21 days. We are powersellers and they held ours for 21 days for months because we shipped out 12 items to someone and he left bad DSR's for all 12 because we wouldn't ship them free.

Aye I keep an eye out for properties on gumtree. I'm not familiar with selling on it, so I'm a bit weary

What Ebay eventually said, is that it was Paypal that had charged me. What? That's never happened before, and it was the same type of item and price I'd sold before..

I'm not sure what to do about it. I even contacted Paypal and they haven't got back to me. It might only be 21p... But it's MY 21p!

    From CNN NEWS:

    July 8, 2002 8:00 AM PDT

eBay picks up PayPal for $1.5 billion

Good luck with that Dani . Once in a while you can find an Ebay representative to help but not often. I never get an answer from Paypal.

It is better if you go on Ebay and do the chat with customer service at least you can understand the language.

Aye I googled and saw that after I read your comment

That's what I did, the customer service live chat, and that was what failed. Repetitive "Let me check that"... "Ebay has not chargedd you for this item"... But I can prove you did! Grr. I emailed, so that I could show the image of the money being deducted, but no response yet again.

Rather creepy, I got a response from Ebay just as I sent that.

All they've said is that they haven't charged me, and even though Ebay are affiliated with Paypal, I need to contact a different customer services department...

Hi all. Sorry, I didn't really read back.

Jasper just got back from the vet. They took x-rays, did blood work, every test they could think of to find out what's going on. My guess was wrong, his shoulder/ arm is not dislocated. Actually, they have no idea what's going on, they only have guesses. They think that he may have strained his leg, and because he's an older dog, the strain caused his arthritis (which is news to me) to flair up even more. So they gave him a muscle relaxant and pain pills.

The bad news is that now he's not eating. In fact, he hasn't eaten in almost two days. We've tried everything, all his favorites, anything we could get into him. He won't even eat steak, or a weiner (his favs).

So they sent him home with pain meds (getting him to take one was really fun. In fact, I think that giving a cat meds would be easier), and now we're all hoping that the pains meds will make him comfortable enough that he'll get his appetite back.

He's much worse then he was when this all started, and the vet has absolutely no idea what's going on. She's basically going by trial and error. So we have to wait and see. But I don't know if Jasper has that kind of time.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get some food into him?

I have a very bad feeling that this may not end well. I'm sitting here crying right now. We just put Indy to sleep less then 5 months ago, now Jasper is deathly ill. I just want him to be okay, to not be in pain. Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Thanks Bella.

I'm about to go check on him right now. Maybe the pain pill kicked in and he'll want something to eat. I have to get some food into him, one way or another.

He hasn't eaten in around 2 days. It's amazing how much weight a dog can lose in 2 days, even an obese dog.

    The weight loss is noticeable.

I'm so worried about him, and the vet has no answers. I just spent $400 to be told that they have no idea what's wrong. That's comforting. NOT! :(

So I'm not better off then I was yesterday, other then the fact that I have pills that I have to force my dog to take.

    I just can't lose him! I can't! Not now! It's too soon! :(

Alty... will he eat if you hand feed him? Maybe putting a bit of gravy on his food? You could put some food in a blender if he will "drink". Do you have Pill Pockets there? They can often help with getting a pet to take pills.

I have tried hand feeding him. He turns his head away. He has no interest in even his very favorite foods.

We got the pill down, even though he wasn't happy. Hopefully it will kick in and the vet will be right, he'll be pain free and get his appetite back. That's what I'm hoping.

I've never heard of pill pockets, but I'll go to the local pet store to see if they have them. I'm also thinking of putting some food in a blender, if I can't get anything into him, and putting it into a turkey baster, forcing it into him. He's lost noticeable weight, and he wasn't a thin dog to begin with.

The lack of appetite is what concerns me the most. This is not a dog that turns down food. For him to be refusing food means that something much more serious then a strained leg and arthritis is going on.

I just wish they had given us an answer, a diagnosis, some hope. Even if it was horrible news, knowing what we're dealing with would help us deal with it. Right now they're guessing, and we're doing our best just to keep him alive and comfortable.

Dani - I HATE eBay and Paypal. I stopped using both

Alty - So sorry about poor Jasper. My dogs are just like my children, I know how it feels when they are sick or hurting. I hope that he is pain free and back to normal soon.

And on a brighter (yet faaaar less important note) I am sharing my new ink...
