    Does home insurance cover garage doors?
    The garage door on my rental property was damaged by my tenant. Does my insurance covers the garage door?

    Depends on the terms of your policy, normally it would cover the door if hit by a limb in a storm, or by hail or by wind.

    The tenant is liable for the damage if they did it.

    So you will have to see if your coverage covers this. Normally damage by the tenant is not covered under many renters policy.
