    American citizen marrying a Colombian
I would like to know what are the requirements or paper work that will be needed for an american citizen who wants to marry a colombian, I have heard about being able to ask for her to be allowed to come to the United States so that colombian can have the chance to marry the american citizen, I would like to know how much truth is there to that and/or what would need to be done, thank you. :D

The best advice comes from the Immigration Specialists - this is their website - USCIS Home Page - and this is their toll free number - National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283.

There are going to be many issues, such as how you meet this person, what sort of relationship have you had, normally they will require a number of face to face meetings ( one or both parties have traveled to the area of the other)

For them to come to the US, they will have to apply to INS for proper immigration status.

Best way is to start by hiring an immigration attorney, the process is long and complicated at times. Also even after they get their visa to come here to get married, the process of citizenship is even longer.
