    White lines on TV screen
I have a 27 inch Proscan TV that is 11 years old. Picture is visible, but not clear, and there are thin horizontal white lines running across the screen about an inch apart. Is this worth a service all? Or is this TV a throw away?

    Thanks, Farmboy

    KISS
If the white lines are slightly diagonal, you might have a higher signal strength to the TV than it can accept, maybe due to an upgrade in the distribution system, so there is a CHANCE noting is wrong. If there is a rear screwdriver adjustment called AGC (Automatic Gain Control), you might TRY adjusting that. You can also try an RF attenuator from Radio Shack for a few bucks. The higher negative number the higher attenuation. It usually has numbers like -6 db.
