I need to get a wiring diagram for a Trane Heatpump. We are changing our the thermostat and Honeywell can't help us with the hookup until we know what wire goes to what function. The wires are as follows. I just need to know what each one does.
Blue
White
Yellow
Green
Orange
Brown
Red
Black

red=R jumped to rc
White=aux jumped to e
green=g
black=x or L
o=orange
yellow=y

brown is the only one I am not sure of. What is it hooked to now??

Not hooked to anything. We've been struggling with this for weeks. I can give you the port letters and maybe that will help.

If brown is not used then what I put earlyer should work just fine for you. Also make sure you read the installer setup and get it entered correctly

What does jumped mean? How do I jump one from the other?

Put in a small piece of wire. Rc to rh probably already has a brass jumper in it

The fan still isn't working. The unit comes on but it won't blow. Any ideas? I've put it on fan on instead of auto and nothing.

I don't have rc or rh. Now what? I know this sounds crazy but can you give me a call on my cell?

If you can't make a jumper wire just move the red wire from rh to rc. That will give you cooling but no heat. Will the blower work if you turn the fan switch to on at the thermostat?Turn off all power going to the system first this will keep you from blowing a transformer.

Do you remember what colors were connected to what letters on the original thermostat? If not, you may have to peek inside the fan coil unit to see what wires are used for each function. Red, yellow, white, green, and orange are almost always universal, but black, blue, and brown (if used) are a little more subjective to the installer. Does the indoor blower come on if you jumper red and green at the thermostat?

OK. I've wired it like you said... the unit comes on but doesn't blow. It's humming downstairs but the outside unit isn't on. HELP!!
