Access your Profile information and options by clicking My Profile at the top of any page.

The main area of your Profile page shows your

• New Subscribed Questions
• Subscribed Topics, and
• Latest Reputation Received

You may collapse or expand any of these three lists by clicking the small blue arrow to the right of each of them.

To the left is the Control Panel, where you may view and edit a variety of information and settings, each of which is explained in detail below.

All features and links described in this section below are available from your My Profile page.

It is especially important to keep your email address current, as a variety of notifications (of your choosing) may be sent to you via email.

To change your email address or your password, click on Edit Email & Password on the left of your Profile page.

Default Question Subscriptions:

You will be notified nearly instantly, by email, when

1. someone answers a question that you have asked, and
2. when someone adds an answer, or follow-up information, after you answer a question.

In other words, asking or answering a question "subscribes" you to that question.

Other Question Subscriptions:

If you find a particular question interesting, or would like to monitor the answers in it for any other reason, you may add it to your subscriptions by clicking the orange Question Tools link that appears above every question, and choosing "Subscribe to this question" from the drop down menu.

The questions you are subscribed to are listed In My Profile, under the heading New Subscribed Questions. Note that for any of them you may

• Click the question title to view it and the answers,
• Click on Answer to answer the question (or add additional information), or
• Click Unsubscribe to remove the question from your subscriptions.

Topic Subscriptions:

If you would like to be notified of questions asked in a particular topic of interest, just click on the topic name, click the orange Topic Tools link in the upper right, and choose "Subscribe to this topic" from the drop down menu.

The topics you are subscribed to are listed In My Profile, under the heading Subscribed Topics. If you no longer wish to receive notification of new questions in any of those topics, just click the "Unsubscribe from this Topic" link under the topic name.

You can set the time shown in the footer of the forum pages if you are logged in. Modify your time zone at My Profile -> Edit Options -> Date & Time Options.

The buddy list is used to keep track of the friends you have made on this topic. By going to your "My vB Home", you'll be able to see which of your friends are currently online, and be able to send them a private message. Adding people to your buddy list also allow you to send private messages to multiple topic members at the same time. You may add any member of the topics to your buddy list by clicking this button in a member's posts.

Ignore lists are used for those people who's messages you wish not to read. By adding someone to your ignore list, those messages posted by these individuals will be hidden when you read a question.
